smileys

Are the smileys masked?
Who drew the emotions on smileys?
Why do we stereotype the smileys?
Is it because they don't have their own identities?
Or is it because humans want them so?
Who put a limit on their emotions?
Why can't we allow the smileys to express themselves?
Subtle changes with a line
Churning out their emotions.
What's in a line?
Again,are the smileys masked?

A silly take on newspaper reading

Newspaper reading is a strange affair.Only if I start the day with a Malayalam daily ,with a medium-hot cuppa plying between hands and tea-poy,I feel that my day would be bright and systematic(often that feeling would die a natural death by 10 AM)

I cherish the picture of newspapers scattered in that giant ‘dining-table like’ reading table of Sacred Heart college library.I would get into the library after my usual ‘laps’ along the corridors with Abraham or Jimmy.Entering there after every other soul has left the college had its own advantages:You don’t leave anything or anyone of your college life ‘unattended’ and your friends won’t know you have that detestable habit of reading!

All set for today’s immersion.Sinoj and Sharon would have already finished silly newspapers by then and would have migrated to higher levels. My eyes and mind were always distracted by those who came in and went out (really missing them all).We leave the arena, with the amiable Joy chettan dragging the fortress doors to a close.

Only when I came across paper reading (that too business paper!) as a forced 30 minutes,I started seeing the funny side of it.If you see the rush, the ad agency which created ‘grab a copy now’ slogan would feel proud. You would assume so many good impressions about us.The scene of papers neatly tucked under the chairs may have a different story to tell. The first bench (sorry, row of seats now) is mostly glued.Sajith  bhai and Ajai taking down notes (stealthly?!) is a scene to behold.I too jote down something I find interesting. But in my case, the sentiment of the class is like ‘oh evanodonnum paranjittu karyamilla, gone case aa’.Some are giving finishing touches to the ppt presentations in the laptops. There are 2 categories of people in this segment alone: 1.those who believe there is still margin for improvement in the ppt and working on it(may be perfectionists)2.those who procrastinated the work and reserved it exclusively for this hour. All hell break loose for the second group if Smitha ma’am decides to stay back after taking attendance (ethinannu 8nte  pani kittuka ennu parayunnath).Next we have people who are not at all aware of the hoopla here and keep on chatting, as if it’s the doomsday, with like-minded people (Thank God,we have so many like-minded people here)

There is a consensus that even serious readers find it tough to read during this session (think about minority sentiments!).Letters and words seem jumbled then. The bell rings signaling the end of today’s paper, for many. The bell rings signaling next 2 hours of ‘mixed’ feelings. It is found that even people who didn’t bother to glance the newspaper will have an urge to do a deep reading of today’s news sometime after this bell:)

Another version of fake ipl player??

Ended up in a reasonably reputed B-school.
If am thrown out for being the fake-ipl player, can you build a monument for me in this bloge, sorry globe??

Consistency is the virtue of an ass

No tall claims..I never promised this will be the blog with a difference.
It comes from a normal guy who finds difference in a day's happenings, but only at the end of the day!
